Professional Background
Katrina Moore is a Senior Attorney and Operations Administrator at Akula & Associates, P.C., a full-service immigration law firm based in Dallas, Texas. She represents both corporate and individual clients in a wide range of immigration matters, including employment-based and family-based cases. Her practice encompasses EB-5 investor visas, H-1B, H-2B, E-2, L-1A, adjustment of status, consular processing, and waiver applications. Ms. Moore brings a strategic mindset and keen business perspective to her immigration practice, making her a highly effective advocate for her clients
Ms. Moore began her legal journey at American University, where she earned a Juris Doctor from the Washington College of Law and a Master of Arts from the School of International Service through a joint degree program. Her passion for immigration law was ignited during her time in the university’s nationally recognized Human Rights and Immigration Clinic, where she represented asylum seekers fleeing persecution in U.S. Immigration Court as a student attorney.
Her commitment to immigration advocacy deepened after law school, when she married a first-generation immigrant and assisted her own family members through the immigration process. Since then, she has continued to serve the immigrant community both professionally and personally.
Ms. Moore also completed the Loyola University School of Law Study Abroad Immigration Law and Language Program in Cuernavaca, Mexico, and gained early experience through employment with the U.S. Department of State, the Department of Justice, and the legacy Immigration and Naturalization Service (now USCIS).
She previously represented clients in removal proceedings and before the Board of Immigration Appeals, further broadening her experience in complex immigration matters.
A dedicated community educator, Ms. Moore frequently speaks on immigration and related topics and volunteers with local organizations within the community. She is a long-standing member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) and is a member of the Maryland state bar.
