Overview
Ms. Moore represents clients in permanent and temporary immigration employment and family-based matters. She has also represented clients in removal proceedings and before the Board of Immigration Appeals. She is an alum of the City of Little Elm’s Citizen Academy. Ms. Moore is also a proud graduate of the Frisco Chamber of Commerce Leadership Frisco Class XV and one of the original founders of the Frisco Chamber’s current International Business Council.
Ms. Moore spent her summers growing up as a little girl in Washington, DC. From a young age she was fortunate to have relationships with other children from around the world whose families migrated to or worked in our nation’s capital. She appreciated the different culture, language, food, and experiences she mutually shared with others. It is one of the reasons she is so comfortable working in the field of immigration law. It is also one of the many reasons she chose to attend graduate school in Washington, D.C. She was admitted to the joint degree program at American University where she received both her Juris Doctor from the Washington College of Law and her Master of Arts Degree from the School of International Service.
Ms. Moore understands the contributions from others different from ourselves is what enhances learning, innovation, and personal growth! She truly believes being able to see the world through different lenses is what makes our country great.
Being accepted to the nationally renowned American University Human Rights and Immigration Clinic in law school is where she found her passion in immigration law. Ms. Moore had the life changing privilege of representing asylee seeking immigrants fleeing persecution in U.S. Immigration Court as a student attorney. Subsequently, after law school she married a first-generation immigrant and was able to help family members navigate through the immigration process as well. She has been advocating and serving the immigrant community ever since in her personal and professional capacity.
In addition to receiving her graduate degrees from American University, Ms. Moore completed the Loyola University School of Law Study Abroad Immigration Law and Language Program in Cuernavaca, Mexico. She went on to receive valuable experience and perspective early on during her internships with the Department of State, and Department of Justice, legacy Immigration and Naturalization Service (current USCIS).
Ms. Moore relocated to Texas in 2009 and has established herself as an
active member of her community in North Dallas where she continues to
practice immigration law. Ms. Moore is a community educator and speaks
on immigration related topics of interest. In addition, she has served
on state immigration related committees focused on deterring human trafficking
and continues to volunteer in her local organizations committed to supporting
this population.
Ms. Moore has a long-term passion of developing young adults into independent
and globally minded and career ready individuals and is an active member
of her local church.
Ms. Moore is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA)
and a member of the Maryland state bar. She has appeared on numerous news
stations as a guest attorney to discuss current immigration topics.
