Alexandria Lessard is an Associate Attorney at Akula & Associates, P.C. She provides immigration counsel to clients on all aspects of U.S. business immigration law. She has extensive experience providing U.S. and global immigration services to small and large companies. Prior to joining Akula & Associates, Alexandria worked for several corporate immigration law firms including Berry Appleman & Leiden and Fakhoury Global Immigration. Also, while in law school, she interned with the Executive Office for Immigration Review (EOIR) and represented immigration clients through the Michigan State University College of Law’s Immigration Law Clinic.
Alexandria’s commitment and passion for immigration law stems from her international background. She immigrated to the United States from Russia at the age of fifteen. While attending college, she spent a semester in the Netherlands studying Regional and Global Policy and two weeks in China and Taiwan studying leadership from a global perspective.
As a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) and American Bar Association’s (ABA) Immigration and Naturalization Law Committee, she stays on top of the latest developments in immigration law. She is also currently serving on the steering committee of the ABA’s Immigration and Naturalization committee.
Alexandria received her law degree from the Michigan State University College of Law and is admitted to the state bar of Michigan. In law school, she was on the MSU College of Law International Law Review and served as treasurer for the International Law Society.
