Overview
Prior to joining Akula & Associates, P.C., Mr. Mistry
was employed at the United States Patent and Trademark
Office as a patent examiner in the field of graphical
user interfaces (Technology Center 2100) and imaging processing
(Technology Center 2600).
During his course of employment his responsibilities included
examining and reviewing non-provisional applications,
responding to non-final and final office actions, and
issuing novel patent applications.
Furthermore, Mr. Mistry clerked at the U.S. International
Trade Commission Office of Unfair Import Investigations
(2008); thus allowing him to have experience in patent
litigation suits.
Mr. Mistry has a concentration in technology of electronics
and computer science and has worked in diverse fields
such as software, RF-ID, electrical components, medical
devices, cryptography, search engines, network configurations
and architecture, electrical signals encoding, electric
and electronic circuits, computer architectures, mechanical
devices, and method of doings business.
Mr. Mistry’s legal experience incorporates creating
aggressive patent portfolio strategies, prosecuting patent
applications, and providing minor litigation support.
